On Thursday everyone will be taking either the Color certification test or a Career Tech test to show competency in editing. Click on the link below and then click on the link for the "Media Production: Editor" test. This document will show you all of the topics that the test will cover.

Major movie shot in Oklahoma needs extras!

The Killer Inside Me is a film that will start shooting in Oklahoma in March. It stars Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba. They are going to start casting extras. AM Class: After your quiz you are to begin working on your final project for Color. We will be working on this for a couple of weeks, so do not think that it is due immediately. Continue passing the hard drive around and drag the folder Wes Movie onto your computer. Read the assignment posted below, and get to work!

PM Class: Work through Lesson 7 in the Color book. At the end of class you will have a quiz over Lessons 4-7. There are also 2 short assignments over Lesson 7 that are due by the end of class. Those are posted below under the titles "Color Recipes Assignment 1" and "Color Recipes Assignment 2." No late work will be accepted!

Everyone should know that you continue to receive Employability Grades even when I am not there. So be productive!

Congratulations to all the students who participated in our local BPA competition.  I am excited to see all of the great work that was produced.  Your work will not go to waste!  There are other competitions we can enter with your productions and look forward to doing so. 

Insomnia Film Festival-Part 2

Insomnia Teams need to be discussing their ideas for the movies on November 15. This is an all day event. We are asking that you donate $1.00 to the Soda Fund. This will help provide drinks for the day. Please see Mrs. Smith with your $1.00 donation.

Final Cut Pro Test-Round Two

2nd year students interested in taking the Final Cut Pro test need to sign up with Mr. K by Monday November 10. The test can be administered on Friday November 14. You need to be studying the Final Cut Pro Book and flash cards!

October 26-My Health Today

Hello All!  

A student from Irving Middle School has requested some help with a production.  He is producing a commercial for the MyHealthToday campaign.  He is shooting on Sunday evening for 2 hours.  He has a storyboard, script, and actor.  He just needs some help with production. 

Dane Schoelen is a very talented student. He was in the Summer Youth Program and did an excellent job.  This would be a nice project to work on.  If you are interested in working with Dane please let me know.

Sports Show-October 14

The DVP Instructors would like to invite 5 students to volunteer for a sports television show.  The show will be shot on location at O'Connells in Norman.  This will be at the new location on Campus Corner in Norman. 

Crew Call time is 5:00.  We will provide 3 cameras and tri-pods for the show.  

Kevin Gerling is the Producer for the show.  The talent are Rick Heath and Jason White.
